The Olympic participants Hans Spitzauer and Christian Nehammer dominated the Attersee-Pfingstregatta Max Kastinger Memorial.
Twenty two teams battled from Saturday to Monday through nine races. On Saturday came bad weather and rotating winds from south to west. On Sunday, there were four races in a relatively uniform NNE wind. On Monday, the event finished with four races in a south wind.
Josef Urban and Andreas Steinkogler had two race wins and a total of 40 points for third place. Christian Nehammer (Star crew at the 2008 Olympic Games), sailing with Gunther Mitterhauser-Turner, had no race wins but a very steady performance to net 37 points and second place overall.
The victory went to Olympic helmsman Hans Spitzauer with his crew Adolf Lüzlbauer. With a lead of seven points, they won this regatta and the Max Kastinger Memorial Trophy.
